Kitchen Backsplashes: Something Old, Something New

Good morning followers!  This morning I’d like to get your take on an OLD technique to add a tile backsplash to your kitchen vs. a NEW one.

SOMETHING OLD

Subway tile is an old technique but it’s coming back (in a big way) and the days of using WHITE subway tile are no longer unfashionable or just for commercial properties.  I prefer the new colors of subway tile that have recently come to market but let’s put it up against the new kid in class. 😉

SOMETHING NEW

Stone is something that we’ve always thought of to accent the outside of our homes, naturally because that’s where it comes from; however, bringing it inside creates a warm, relaxing, and serene environment to whichever room you bring it into.  You can get this stone backsplash and others like it at Big Box Departments stores at a price comparable to glass tile.

So… which one would you likely put in your kitchen?
